Books.

The Hearthside Bookshelf.

I have been a voracious reader since second grade, the kind of child who read books and newspapers when there was free time.  I found whole worlds tucked between their pages.  That love never faded.  Reading has remained one of the most steadying rhythms of my life— part refuge, part education, part quiet joy.  Books have shaped the way I see the world, the way I think, and the way I move through my days.

In this portion of my blog, I share my thoughts, impressions, and recommendations on the books that are in my private library and pass through my hands.  Some are new discoveries; others are old favorites worth revisiting.  My reflections are not formal reviews, but simple, honest notes from one reader to another— what moved me, what stayed with me, and what I believe might enrich your own reading life.  Whether you’re looking for something thoughtful, comforting, challenging, or simply beautiful, I hope these reflections help you find your next good book and perhaps rediscover the quiet pleasure of reading itself.
