Everyone knows that the Chicagoland area is a huge metropolis of concrete and steel. Did you know that the counties in and around Chicago have forest preserves where Nature is kept for serenity, picnics, sixteen-inch softball, ice rinks, beaches, and the like?

This week, I’m on a personal retreat to concentrate on a little bit of my writing and Holy Week. I’ve scheduled some photographs I took that I think you will finding interesting and maybe spark some discussion.
I will be checking back here every evening, so I’m not totally off the grid. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my blogs this week, and that you have a fabulous week, too!
