It’s been a very busy year so far, and I am getting down to brass tacks with writing more on my blog and continuing to plug along on my novel. It’s so true that time flies when you’re busy. I’d add to that to say time went by in a supersonic way for me. I published two new book of poetry, “Grapes Suzette,” and a short story, “The Green Gloves.” Those were big accomplishments, given all else on my calendar.
My life with my husband is what I most love, and our eclectic interests and passions pretty much mirror each other’s. We’re probably the only two people in the world who really “get” each other. We crave being together and sharing ideas in conversation or revelling in the silence of an evening of reading.
We have two dogs and several parakeets that keep us on our toes. Some of my other interests besides writing include travelling, reading, music, cooking, gardening, belly dancing, ballroom dancing, film, history, life on the farm, political science, languages (I grew up in a bilingual family!), art, baseball, and hockey.
I’ve been a mom, teacher, analyst, supervisor, property manager, speech writer, board member, club officer, caregiver to several family members, salesgirl, Toastmaster, and in between all that, I returned to college in my 30s to earn a couple of bachelor degrees and masters, graduating summa cum laude and cum laude for all degrees. Grass doesn’t grow under my feet!
I am the author of several books, including “Indigo Fantasy,” “Life in the Oasis,” “Gallery Night,” and “God of the Sea.” I like spending time on my secluded veranda writing about daily life; currently I am writing a novel.
Join me as I write about my observations and experiences in life in prose, poetry, and photographs.
See you back here soon!
